About Me

Rebekah McVitie is an Edinburgh, Scotland based Makeup Artist and offers makeup and hair design through our Scotland and beyond for photographic, fashion, editorial, commercial etc.

Rebekah has been a highly successful makeup artist since 1994 and trained at the prestigious London College of Fashion in hair and makeup. Working in London as a freelance makeup artist for over a decade she worked in film television, commercials and editorial. Some of her many credits include Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Bad Girls, various editorial shoots and covers for Time Out Magazine.

In the summer 2007 she was approached by cosmetic company Lily Lolo to do their campaign shots. She organized and coordinated the shoot getting photographer and models together to produce a very successful campaign. The images now appear on the website and on their promotional pamphlets.

She first said she wanted to be a makeup artist at the age of 7 but it took a while for this to be realized. Coming from a very artistic background, with parents who were both art teachers, she herself attended Art College before training as a makeup artist. This training stood her in good stead for her career as a makeup artist using her eye for colour and creativity in a new way.

So far 2008 has seen Rebekah working for The Herald Magazine, i-on Edinburgh, a pop promo for One Night Only and commercial for Karine Polwart, amongst other things.
